Indications The Nisus NPWT System requires a physician’s prescription based on specified indications for use. It is designed for patients who would benefit from negative pressure wound therapy, especially as it aids in removing excess exudates, infectious material, and tissue debris to promote wound healing.

Contraindications The device should not be used when malignancy is present in the wound, untreated osteomyelitis exists, non-enteric and unexplored fistulas are present, or necrotic tissue with eschar is not yet debrided. Nisus NPWT can be used after necrotic tissue is debrided and eschar is completely removed.

Warnings and Precautions Avoid direct contact between the dressing and exposed blood vessels, anastomotic sites, organs, or nerves. Caution is advised for patients undergoing anticoagulant therapy, those with hemolytic disease, untreated malnutrition, and those who are non-compliant or combative.
