Why Choose the Maxi Move 5?
Arjo Motion Assist™ Technology
The optional powered drive system responds to push, pull and pivot movements through touch-sensitive caregiver handles. This provides intuitive maneuverability and more precise positioning in bedrooms, bathrooms and other care spaces.
A blue indicator light becomes visible on the handle whenever Motion Assist is active.
Powered Dynamic Positioning System
The Powered Dynamic Positioning System (PDPS) allows the caregiver to adjust the patient’s position electrically during the transfer. This helps minimize manual repositioning and provides greater control when moving the patient toward a bed, chair, wheelchair or other care surface.
Designed for Single-Caregiver Efficiency
Powered lifting, powered positioning and responsive controls can reduce the physical effort and time required to complete routine transfers. Depending on the patient’s condition, care plan and facility policy, this may allow an appropriately trained caregiver to perform certain transfers independently.
Dual Controls
Controls are conveniently located on both the mast and the handheld control. This allows the caregiver to remain close to the patient while operating the lift.
Dual-Function Operation
Two lift functions can be operated simultaneously, helping the caregiver complete positioning adjustments more efficiently.
500 lb or 600 lb Capacity
The Maxi Move 5 is available in two capacity configurations:
- Standard-capacity model: Up to 500 lb
- High-capacity model: Up to 600 lb
The appropriate configuration should be selected according to the patient’s weight, physical condition, transfer requirements and recommended sling system.

Telescopic Vertical Mast
The vertical mast provides stability throughout the lifting cycle while delivering a broad lifting range for transfers between beds, wheelchairs, lift chairs, hygiene equipment and other compatible surfaces.
Flexible Caster Configurations
Three caster sizes are available—standard, low and extra-low—to improve access beneath beds, stretchers and other low-clearance care equipment.
Interchangeable Combi Attachment
The combi attachment makes it easier to change between compatible spreader bars and stretcher frames. This flexibility allows the Maxi Move 5 to support different transfer requirements with the appropriate accessories.
Integrated Scale Option
An optional integrated scale allows the patient to be weighed during the transfer process, helping streamline routine care and reduce unnecessary handling.
